About CYMS

CYMS builds software for container yards, depots, and intermodal terminals. The company is based in Santiago, Chile, and works with operations teams that need better control of containers, gates, storage, repairs, and billing without taking on a heavy enterprise rollout.

Our focus is practical yard work: the shift supervisor trying to find a container, the gate clerk checking an EIR, the billing team closing storage charges, and the manager who needs a reliable view of what happened today.

How we work

The team combines logistics experience with software engineering. Some work starts with code, but most useful product decisions start with a process question: where does the data first enter, who changes it, and who pays for the mistake if it is wrong?

That is why our implementations begin with the operating flow rather than a feature list. We map gate, yard, repair, and billing steps before deciding how much automation makes sense for a particular site.

What the platform covers

CYMS gives teams a shared record for container positions, statuses, movements, documents, and charges. Gates can use OCR and electronic documentation. Yard teams can work from 2D/3D maps, task lists, and slot rules. Billing teams can calculate storage and handling from the same events operations already use.

The platform also supports EDI, customer portals, reporting, and multiple languages, which matters when a yard serves carriers, truckers, finance teams, and customers across different regions.

Why teams choose CYMS

Teams usually come to CYMS when their current process still works, but only because experienced people are holding it together manually. The goal is not to replace that knowledge. The goal is to put it into a system the rest of the operation can trust.

We keep deployments modular so smaller sites can start with the workflows that hurt most, then add more when the team is ready.
